𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐩𝐲, a Python package to load, synchronize and analyze football tracking and event data, now directly supports loading data with 𝐤𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐲.

I see Pyodide used in tools like JupyterLite to lower the barrier to entry for Python by removing the need for a local setup.

I’m curious—how do you see SPy and Pyodide fitting into different use cases?

Had a great time at DuckCon #6. So many cool stuff to try, like the airport extension and DuckPGQ.

Vertical Stacking as the Relational Model Intended: UNION ALL BY NAME DuckDB allows vertical stacking of datasets by column name rather than position. This allows DuckDB to read files with schemas that evolve over time and finally aligns SQL with Codd's relational model...

I thought this wasn't such a big deal, but it's huge. Just wasted hours on debugging. End result: order of columns was different in source tables.

This release includes some new data science and data engineering packages: PyArrow, @pola.rs, @duckdb.org. This means you can play around with these packages in your browser.

Rust + Python is such a great combi. Rust for the high performance part, python to easily glue stuff together.
