How will we be falling short of who we want to be, or the life we want to live? How will we be stacking up problems for our future selves? How will we be missing out on opportunities for an expanded, more enriched life?

even if that isn't immediately obvious, or the benefit isn't soon.

So when the short term benefits of NOT doing it feel all too vivid, asking ourselves what will be the longer term consequences if we don't, or if we keep delaying, helps us to find our focus.

breaking it down into the most miniscule constituent actions and doing just one at a time. In both cases, it's about getting some traction while managing the spikey anxiety or tedious drudgery that is so off-putting and making a start and gathering momentum. (6/7)
