We are a sovereign nation who don't have to follow a madman, who wields the power of his office with all of the care of a 12 year old who's found his daddy's revolver.

Quotes from our history said in the future, we would't recognise Fascism as it rode in, calling itself liberalism.

It turns out they don't need to be so subtle. Fascism rides in clearly being fascist, no hiding, no deception. Precious little resistance.

Not least since it has already resulted in an easing of sanctions against Russia.

Bearing in mind that the commanders in Iran are receiving intelligence from the Russians, telling them who fired at Iran and from where.

So Moscow can essentially stoke the flames by proxy - and they have every motive to keep Israel and the US in this dangerous war.

The Arab nations clearly don't trust Iran, so when the Pres says sorry, didn't mean to bomb you it's taken with scepticism. It also came with a thinly veiled threat - "we will only send missiles to places we are attacked from".

And of course since Iran will have the Russians providing targeting ..

US gets rid of the Iran leadership - several layers - and the Russians feed the individual commanders with talk of revenge and targeting information for what THEY want to see damaged.

May I recommend that people take a moment out to watch Aljazeera news for a different perspective?

They've just done a quick graphic summary of the first week of the war (yes, it's a war) and the description was very clear.

Perhaps some US colleagues would do well to see the other side.

Ian Huntley was jailed for life and bullied in prison until one attack left him brain damaged and blind and his life support was withdrawn. Personally, I think this is barbaric. If Ian Huntley was American, they wouldn't have let this happen. They would have made him president.

So it now appears based on many media reports that we bombed a girls elementary school and killed 175 people, and right after that Hegseth was beating his chest in a press conference saying we weren’t going to worry about “stupid rules of engagement” anymore.

The stock market is tanking, gas prices are spiking, the DHS Secretary was just fired after lying under oath to Congress, prices keep going up, Trump refuses to refund tariffs despite a SCOTUS decision, and we are in another war in the Middle East.
