Performance of a sweep of models on Oolong-synth and Oolong-real. Performance decreases with increasing context length, sometimes steeply.

We introduce Oolong, a dataset of simple-to-verify information aggregation questions over long inputs. No model achieves >50% accuracy at 128K on Oolong!

SCS Faculty Receive Chaired Professorships "As a researcher who has dedicated her career to impact in education and who directs one of Carnegie Mellon's largest data science graduate programs, I am honored to receive a chair named after Aleksandar Kavčić, in light of his current work in Serbia to provide free textbooks for schools through his foundation, and José Moura, who has partnered with him and others to invest in data science education at Carnegie Mellon," Rosé said.
