What a brave mother. For ten years I oversaw my State's TEFRA Medicaid program & met 100s of families just like this. It is 💔 to think that all that hard work to help families like this receive the needed care just go away. Shame on this country.

Except that Omaha is a Blue Dot & just elected a D mayor (and 1st black mayor who took office this past Monday). If they start raiding the meat packing plants in Garden City, KS or pork plants in Iowa, then the theory of only "blue" will not hold water

We did a trip in '22 following the Civil Rights Trail in MS. We spent 4 days there. When we were done & driving out we vowed never to return. As an interracial couple we did not feel safe the entire 4 days we were there.

Umm what about HIPAA? I don't know but I only retired from our state Medicaid program in 2020, but last I heard HIPAA was still a real law. So how can he access medical records to start this database. I can't see every parent agreeing to this.

Alaskan here - well true, the hard right GOP are doing everything they can to end RCV. Yes, they've lost twice, but they are out gathering signatures again to get RCV on the '26 ballot. In '24 the pro RCV barely prevailed. It is always a close vote.
