Hot take, but this is what happens when software engineers don't take humanities classes. Qualitative measures and social sciences are seen as "softer" and more abstract in general. But because of this you have to be even more rigorous. Defining constructs is difficult work.

I explained that this would be unethical to do, and if they wanted to do it right, they'd have to approach it in a way that didn't cater to confirmation bias. After explaining the research methodology they'd have to use, I was never contacted back. I don't know if this ever went forward.

I'm gonna be petty because I still feel some type of way about this. No one wanted to explore this research question and the folks that came to me about it were more focused on creating a narrative that ABDL stuff is ALWAYS a coping strategy for traumatic experiences.

This is actually a question a group of furries in a STEM group I'm part of came to me about. The project never went anywhere, but I was really interested in doing some explorative mixed methods research into this area.

I'm missing the night walkies Coach and I would take in Seattle. It's a lot milder out there and it was always such a nice thing to do at the end of the day.

It's much harder here when temperatures have been holding at -14°C.

I have mastered the art of drifting my Honda Civic through the snow.

Fought through the snow driving home today and it took an extra thirty minutes to get into my driveway cause someone crashed right in front of my driveway ;~;

I really miss being in nature during the winter time. My biggest barrier is that even with winter tires, my car struggles in the snow.

It makes it difficult to go rabbit hunting or winter hiking unless very specific conditions are met.

Right now, my university is seeing such a large influx of overqualified academics flooding in from the US and applying for teaching and research positions.

I have never been a morning person by any means. But the intimacy, comfort and role certainty I feel in those moments makes me excited to wake up beside him.

It gives me so many good dog feels <3

One of the things I miss the most when I'm away from my owner is our mornings together.

I miss being pulled in between his folds, breeding him, and then getting up to make us coffee and breakfast.
