The first conference I went to people wouldnβt speak to me as they thought I was a student and one person even came up to me and said βwhat year?β (of study), when I responded βLecturerβ they just said βohβ and walked awayβ¦put me off conferences for a while!

#LTHEchat A6 To staff: Really help students bond, get to know & trust each other, then set more group tasks - inclg P2P teaching and multimodal assignments. To students: make friends/study partners/groups - share the workload and spend a lot of time talking about it in the canteen.
