ICE is offering up to $50,000 in signing bonuses to recruit 10,000 new agents in 2025. The new campaign includes student loan forgiveness and enhanced retirement benefits. If successful, ICE would become the largest federal law enforcement agency in the nation. The effort is backed by the One Big Beautiful Bill and promoted by DHS and Secretary Kristi Noem. Recruitment is targeting cities, college campuses, and law enforcement communities nationwide.

Another ICE "assault" case unravels. Border Patrol and ICE are arresting US citizens and then after they find out that they are US citizens, they are charging them with "assault" to justify their actions. This is clearly DHS policy at this point. We've seen it repeatedly now.

So, an ICE rep has now explicitly testified in court that they assembled a "Tiger Team" in early 2025 to compile a list of student protesters on the *Canary Mission* website to target for deportation.

I guarantee Canary Mission is also the reason I was denied entry to the US.

Ald. Jesse Fuentes:

U.S. Congresswoman Delia Ramirez derides masked ICE agents as terrorists and other Trump admin actions as unconstitutional.

She says Trump, Kristi Noem, Tom Homan and Stephen Miller are not welcome in Chicago.

"Your fascism is not welcome here," she adds.

IL State Sen. Omar Aquino: "Puerto Ricans, and people from Humboldt Park especially, recognize government overreach. We recognize militarizarion when we see it."

Despite the threat of ICE activity, he encourages people to come out and enjoy the local summer events.

Happening now: Chicago, IL state & federal electeds holding a presser in the National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts & Culture, in response to ICE agents reportedly casing the museum yesterday. We're days away from large summer events; the electeds are promising resistance to ICE raids.
