Once again, I had a blast at #MCLS2025!
First time participating in a symposium so aligned with my research interests (โ€œRepresentations of ordinalityโ€).
Huge thanks to Maria Brandao for organizing it, and to all the brilliant speakers: @lillyroth.bsky.social, Francesco Sella, and Maria herself

Flyer for MCLS trainee February Special: Math Cognition in Context. Includes the following information: Join our trainee research chair, Nicholas Vest, for a discussion on math cognition in context. We'll be reading Draper et al. (2022) to explore the publication challenges faced by researchers studying child development in Majority World/Global South/non-WEIRD/low- and middle-income countries. The article examines publication bias, generalizability, contextual relevance (especially in measurement), the impact of the funding cycle, and offers recommendations for more inclusive journals (Draper et al., 2022, Infant and Child Development). This discussion is in collaboration with the Math Cognition Reading Group, and all members are welcome to attend.
