Got a Tues morning marathon in at my first Mainly Marathon - Heartland IL. It was a hot one. Walked the back half but had great company sharing stories with other fellow runners. Great volunteers and aid station. Thanks.

Clinton Lake 30-miler yesterday. Nice course, amazing volunteers and aid stations. Just a little wet and slick but when does the weather ever cooperate. I have the honor of being DFL.

It’s done. From sunrise to sunset.
Bataan Memorial Death March at White Sands, NM. Rucking with 40lbs made it my slowest marathon to date but that’s what made this race unique. Unshaded course on gravel and sand just adds to the fun. Kudos to all the other marchers, many with even heavier packs.

What a fun race, Frozen Cock’s Crow. A 5K with great scenery, hills, and a dip in a snowy river. Plus, a great group of friends to share the adventure with.

I’m at Snow Devil Snowshoe race. DNF after 7:30 hrs on the course last night. Mental math was clear that I wasn’t going to finish the 10 lap/100K by this afternoon. Nonetheless, it was a great experience to try a cold grueling race in a different format. Running in snowshoes is so much harder.
