True, and they should be encouraged to continue to look for ways to regulate/edit what happens on X & other poisonous social media but:
You go where the people are ... and there are still a LOT of them there
I'm still there, I am serious about online safety. It is still a more heterodox and lively site than Bsky (if you know how to curate your feed). I rely on it the way I relied on Reuters & AP newswires when I did daily journalism (starting in the teletype era) So I won't criticise the govt on this
