A space nebula that looks a bit like an ocean wave, in a color palette emphasizing various gas emissions, notably red and orange hues for hgydrogen and green and yellow hues for areas richer in sulphur and oxygen.

The California Nebula in Perseus, a relatively "close" emission nebula (~6,000 trillion miles). As seen from us it's about 5 times or so larger than the full Moon appears in the sky—but it's too dim to see naked eye.
