Giving yourself PTSD from seeing photos or film clips doesn’t help anyone.

Even a causal/low info voter who doesn't engage with politics much can see the clear difference between Nigel Farage and Zack Polanski and their respective parties.

The fact that Labour's high command can't or won't see it is concerning, to say the least.

It certainly is deeply odd, but considering that a version of the 'both sides' argument has been put forward so often by politicians and media outlets, especially recently with Farage and Polanski, it's not hugely surprising to see it employed here.

It'll all be over by Christmas.

To be fair, Reform isn't exactly awash with talented candidates.

It's almost a shame that McSweeney's no longer in No.10 so that he can get kicked out after the result.

But it will certainly be a fitting humiliation for him and his boss.

Morgan 'political genius' McSweeney might be gone, but the strategy that Labour pursued based on his advice has pretty destroyed any chance of Starmer keeping his job.

If only someone had pointed out that pissing off progressives to chase right-wing votes was a bad idea...

I'm not sure what's worse for Labour: the fact that blocking Burnham might have allowed them to keep this seat (though it's not a given) OR the fact that, regardless of whether Reform or the Greens win, a Labour loss shows the stupidity of McSweeney's political strategy.
