I'd bet that he wasn't able to speak to Garcia without an El Salvador representative present

I'd bet that he wasn't able to speak to Garcia without an El Salvador representative present
18.04.2025 04:24 β π 24 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0People are desperate for politicians that have genuine values
18.04.2025 02:02 β π 23 π 3 π¬ 2 π 0It's not even a complicated situation to understand. You shouldn't be in politics if you can't explain to voters why it's important
17.04.2025 15:51 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It cannot be overstated how insane and dangerous this argument is. They're saying that the government can illegally abduct and imprison peopleβand even admit that it screwed up!βand then remove the ability of any court to intervene by shipping the victim to a foreign gulag.
07.04.2025 17:02 β π 3381 π 1102 π¬ 93 π 41Important to find joy in hard times, so don't feel bad about reveling in schadenfreude for the people who were willing to overlook everything else as long as they got richer.
07.04.2025 17:01 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Theyβre realizing the tariffs might not be as good as they thought?
07.04.2025 11:02 β π 310 π 27 π¬ 9 π 1Terrible news as an Arsenal fan myself
07.04.2025 15:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think this is beyond the tariffs at this point. Global markets have lost confidence in the United States government.
07.04.2025 14:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think it's actually on Congressional Republicans to stand up to him for the first time and take back their authority. Markets don't trust Trump anymore so backing down now would just stop the bleeding at best. We're probably cooked until power is out of his hands.
07.04.2025 14:35 β π 14 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I do think it's worth marking and remembering that these people were willing to tolerate everything we've experienced since January and more provided it didn't disrupt the economy.
07.04.2025 00:21 β π 6557 π 1485 π¬ 96 π 52Absolutely
06.04.2025 20:39 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hard to imagine anyone in this administration caring enough about soccer for that ha
06.04.2025 19:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Hard to imagine a country voluntarily opting out of the World Cup. Have to think they'd move US matches to Canada/Mexico or something at that point.
Crazy to think about when it was just held in Qatar, but their goal was to look good to the world while this admin aims to antagonize it.

06.04.2025 18:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The US is supposed to be hosting the World Cup in 14 months...
06.04.2025 18:05 β π 31 π 9 π¬ 2 π 3Good chance the admin actually wants it cancelled or moved. Kind of goes against everything they care about. Or it will be used it as some corrupt bargaining chip vs the rest of the world
06.04.2025 18:02 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That's my thought. Probably the only thing that can bring meaningful institutional resistance to this admin bsky.app/profile/erik...
06.04.2025 17:55 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A funny thing is that "how would they treat a Democratic President in the same situation" thing is totally hypothetical because all the huge market crashes in my lifetime happened under Republicans.
06.04.2025 15:25 β π 3453 π 726 π¬ 31 π 17It's indistinguishable from MAGA's waxing poetic about Hungary, Russia, or some imagined golden era from a century ago
04.04.2025 21:56 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0email jobs are a triumph of human civilization and your ancestors schemed, bribed and murdered to get the pre-modern equivalent whenever they could.
04.04.2025 14:26 β π 2515 π 363 π¬ 36 π 59Lot of long-term and possibly permanent damage already done, unfortunately, but can stop the bleeding and have a light at the end of the tunnel.
04.04.2025 16:00 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Capital definitely won't sit by idly while this happens. Congressional R's may actually be forced to grow a spine but will get wiped out at the midterms anyway, so at the very least there would be a Dem controlled congress to block their agenda in the back half.
04.04.2025 16:00 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Worst case scenario would be that they let the economy continue humming along while slowly consolidating power and dismantling institutions. Hard to get anyone to care when material conditions are good.
Everything is under the microscope with a self-inflicted recession, though.
Crazy to say but this may actually be the best possible timeline for the country's long term future.
An economic crash is the likely the only thing that can really turn the powers that be against this admin in a meaningful way. Anyone with power will be forced to push back soon.
Frustrating ending but doesnβt take away what this squad accomplished. Up there as one of my favorite Spartan hoops teams. Will always cherish this season

30.03.2025 01:45 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Have to play better than we have, though, starting tomorrow. Offense needs to figure some things out
29.03.2025 15:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Basically agree, but think every team has looked mortal at some point, so would give us more of a chance than I may have thought pre-tournament. Zona vs Duke and Zags vs Florida made me think we can hang
29.03.2025 15:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yeah Bama on fire like that may actually be unbeatable, but doubt they replicate that. Our three point D vs them would be interesting
29.03.2025 14:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Arizona hanging with them gives me hope. Would take a lot to go right but itβs doable
