haha it's a tricky question. In fact my project is a 5 dungeon, 1 HUB world, like a classic Zelda, so this is just the first chapter.
I have wrote most the whole game, but I m ready to take my time.
That's why I chose to have a ageless esthetic for it ;)

Haha I understand, and they are as popular today, but I hope to see more indie 3D game. They can have some really creative artstyle, but its still the beginning 🌱

I enjoyed a lot Moonlighter, the soundtrack is amazing 🤩
But I prefer some 3D TPS, that’s why I did one my own.

Ah pardon, je pensais à la portée symbolique de l'environnement, au delà de sens écologique, ce que ses archétypes représentent pour l'humain. Et là pour le coup, c'est un fil rouge de la saga : parler de notre humanité avec un monde à explorer, que ce soit avec le ciel, la lumière, ou la mer...

C'est devenu mon livre préféré, il a complétement changé mon regard sur mon travail d'Environment Artist dans le JV et m'a ouvert de nouveaux horizons dans cet art x)
Je comprends ce que tu dis, et je crois que ça viens de cette capacité du jeu à parler directement au désir d'aventure de l'enfant.

Haha I got the same trauma when I discovered OOT when I was about 10 years old. Spoiler alert, life is scarrier than Gohma, but not as much of beneath the well !

A pixel art rendition of Link's House from the beginning of Ocarina of Time. The perspective is similar to a diorama or an isometric view. Link is sleeping in his bed with Navi floating next to him. Saria and her fairy are waiting at the base of the tree that Link lives in.

You should ! This saga is so deep in its art, its narration, its symbolism,… there is less than 3 or 4 okay title, on 20 masterclass x)

Yes je viens de terminer la derniere build avec toutes les traductions, mais j’aurais encore des fix pour des patchs 😅
C’est seulement le prologue (1 seul donjon) parce qu’il me faudrait bien 10 ans pour faire le jeu complet (5 donjon + 1 monde central), sauf si j’arrive à monter une équipe ^^

Mais l’importance de la mythologie est capitale dans zelda et je crois dans son succes. Est ce que vous parlez aussi de sa symbolique environnementale ? Elle a un lien très fort avec sa cosmogonie.
En tout cas le sujet m’intéresse je vais tacher d’écouter cette video ;)

I dont recommend doing a game on its own, it’s harder than a marathon with bombs and traps on the track xD

Yep ! Started 6 years ago. Released the prologue 4 years ago, took a break. Then 6 month ago I worked on it full time for this special date ;)

I think that game gave me a meaning in life, or at least an artistic ambition 😅
