It’s a good question and I have a serious answer to it: we largely just try to embody people in a fictional world. It might seem like minutiae or inefficient storytelling, but we enjoy it. A satisfying narrative is not as interesting to my group as a meaningfully realized life if that makes sense?

did anyone else experience that "time skip" a few years ago? Back in 2018, I was driving on the highway in broad daylight. I blinked, and suddenly it was night. I was still driving, my car was fine, and I was only 5 minutes from my exit, but I had lost about 6 hours. I felt completely normal, just confused. There was no news about anything strange in my area. I've never told anyone because it sounds insane. Has anyone else experienced a sudden, unexplained loss of time with no memorv of what happened?
