It’s time for a new Mayor. I’m not ranking him on my ballot. Let’s remember that he vetoed the budget that included historic investments in immigrant communities. Funding for Mercado Central that he just visited, immigrant legal services, street vendor funding, and funding for a welcoming center.

This week emphasized for me that Mayor Frey can't show up to a tense situation on a knife's edge to de-escalate because he has such little credibility and his presence is inherently escalatory. It's not his fault, people are just sick of him.
