Reminder: Jill Stein has disappeared again like she does after EVERY election.

She is a grifter.

I'm really excited for my next video release; it's on "pedigree" mutation rates, and why they *don't* prove a young earth and recent creation. This is one of the big YEC talking points, so I'm really excited to get this out there. Premieres at 8pm Eastern on Wed, February 28th.

New video now available! On the persistent creationist misrepresentation around lactase persistence, which they refuse to correct.

Here's an example of me explaining it *to creationists*, but I'd bet on them saying the same old thing down the road.

I just got here, but here's today's video: why the young-earth creationist concept of "patriarchal drive", and specifically how it supports a young-earth story, is complete nonsense:

So if you want to learn more about the basics of evolutionary biology in the service of debunking a particularly pernicious form of pseudoscience, this is the place. Welcome.

Creationism is inextricably linked to Christian Nationalism. So my goal is the push back on this one small entry point into the broader pseudoscience, conspiracy, and Christian Nationalist miasma.

And beyond that, creationism is part of the broader Christian Nationalist movement in the US. As I write this, the current Speaker of the House has an author page on the website of Answers in Genesis, the largest YEC ministry in the world.

It's not a coincidence that a number of prominent YECs died of COVID *after* the vaccines were available, nor that one YEC ministry (Creation Ministries International) got tons of pushback from their audience when they took a pro-vax stance in 2021.

Why do I do this? Because ANY pseudoscience, even "harmless" pseudoscience like young-earth creationism, is bad. It teaches people to think poorly. To be unable to critically evaluate information. And that makes them susceptible to other, more dangerous forms of pseudoscience.

But my favorite thing that I do on this channel is have (sometimes long) conversations with creationists, which is were I get to show, in detail, where their ideas fall apart: www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...

I also review creationist papers (real papers and "papers"), explain the tricks that creationists use (www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...) and every now and then debate creationists.

My main series is called, appropriately, "Creation Myths", and that's where I go through the claims that "creation scientists" make, and show why they're wrong wrong wrong: www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...

Hello! Welcome to Creation Myths! I'm an evolutionary biologist who spends way too much time thinking about creationism, and I have a YouTube channel where I explain why all of the major claims of creationism are wrong: www.youtube.com/@CreationMyths
