Transit stations in the state of Kansas and the number of buses they see per week on a spreadsheet, what would YOU do on YOUR day off? I guess I know now that I would do sh*t like this...

My city (KCK) pays for this ONE bus line in my neighborhood, on Saturdays (it doesn't run on Sundays) it has a 120 MINUTE HEADWAY FOR A 20 MINUTE ROUND TRIP!!! ARE YOU F*CKING KIDDING ME WITH THIS SH*T whoever decided this would be there I know you don't live here, this is insulting

2. Park Place
3. Johnson Drive (Mission)
4. Zona Rosa
5. Legends

Only one stop in all of KCK (not even downtown) other than that I like the vision 20 min headways are already better than every bus route (except MAX)

What do you think about elected officials on social media? Do you think it is part of the job? Do you think that is optional or better if they don't engage on social media?

I had to compartmentalize what I know could change here in the USA and in Kansas and I boiled it down to three categories:
1. Things I care deeply about and have a lasting passion for (seems like there is an attack that is on something I cherish new each day)

Use addition or subtraction to find your remainder of what you are going to pursue as your mark on the world and what you fight for. I know this helped me, and of course intersectionality is never irrelevant, but focusing on 2-3 BIG issues is the extent of my and most people's capabilities 🌻🏳️‍🌈🏛️🤝✊

3. Things I KNOW very well. I have a degree or a credential to bring to the table to shed light on a situation for the purposes of righting a wrong (I am getting my degree in this, and I know the leaders who made a decision or I know how to contact those who make those decisions)

2. Things I am directly connected to. Things that I can give personal testimony in court about direct impacts that elected officials and those in power have negatively impacted my life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness (This is National, local, and the institutions that I interact with daily)

I saw the minimum wage increase in Missouri
Starting Jan 1 2026 Missouri Minimum wage will be $15/Hr.
And it sparked a thought in my head of fighting for that here in Kansas, and I had to really gather my thoughts on my capabilities, so here's what Id like to share on what helps me prioritize...
