The Orange County Board of Elections received and accepted my ballot for the primary election. Kind of a big deal, considering how many steps it takes to vote by mail in North Carolina! ✅

The answer is that no IRB did. The person who “signed off” on approval from the only ethics board that reviewed it had resigned three years earlier. His signature was used without his knowledge.

The amount of money that is currently going to fund immigration enforcement in the US is larger than the military budgets of every country in the world other than the US and China. We are witnessing a military assault on American cities by a wildly unpopular governing party.

What’s incredible about ICE/DHS is that they put out these statements without caring that there are multiple video recordings from multiple angles which show they’re lying every time.

I know the idea of “better” policing is as old a demand as civil rights movements in this country, the impulse to call for it at this moment is so terribly cruel that it can only be understood as aligned with the terrorists.
