The idea of putting all of your connections into “circles” that you defined—“work friends”, “classmates”, “friends”, “family” and could share things deliberately by circle (e.g., shared with friends and work friends but not family) was really neat, and was a great way to organize a feed.

Sure but it has *inputs*, the main difference there (assuming you have a zero data retention plan which most of these offer on enterprise) is the set of functions performed.

I’m not saying “trust LLMs for legal work”, I’m saying the data sharing with service providers piece is just inherent in SaaS

If OpenAI has their own servers, sure, but they have to be able to share data with the host servers to perform the functions the tool is being asked to do. Any cloud-based SaaS tool is going to be functionally similar and have similar protocols, AI or not
