Woken from a weird apocalyptic dream by what I took to be low-flying jet planes but turned out to be the council garden waste lorry in the back lane combined with someone drilling. I have had under 4 hours’ sleep.

I went out more often when I was 14 than I do now tbh

I'm In Your Corner
YouTube video by O. V. Wright - Topic I'm In Your Corner

Two slow miles, or close enough. I like to push myself beyond what I think I can manage, and once I’m outside it’s always easier. No roadside boxers tonight, though.

Catching the last of the light. Too much spinny-head to go very far today.

Yes, the Twitter crew, without whom I doubt my sanity would have survived two years of completely solo lockdown. Fortunately they’re here too now x

I just have! And I have no idea what I did to offend the people blocking me because they mostly don’t strike me as people I’d follow anyway. I only seem to be on nice lists, apart from “ignore for wetsuit content” which is bizarre because I don’t think I’ve ever posted any.

Only joking. I’m not that mean.

Snow White has decided to start learning the ukelele this afternoon. Might retaliate by taking up the melodica I forgot I owned until today when I opened an old suitcase.

Well it’s not “daunting”, just too much of a faff for a few quid. Saying that, if I’d accidentally come home with two and only paid for one, conscience would have demanded I return and pay.

Oi, I had to unhide my muted words to see that! (I wonder who’s blocking me?)

Belatedly realised I’d been charged twice for something I bought on Monday, but the idea of having to go back to the shop, explain that although it says two mascaras on the receipt I only actually bought one, even assuming they believe me and don’t just think I’m trying it on, is just too much faff.

Same with the idea of reincarnation. Funny how people always claim they were a princess, never someone who basically lived in a hole for 20 years then died miserably of a plague.

Although given that one of them is a black paisley minidress with a milkmaid neckline, I’m not quite sure what that will say about my chosen career.

Rather, [boniment']s a kind of ecstatic patter, near to the brink of Dada, and in the case of “Le Raid,” in Bologna, it was delivered with whoops, ululations, and ineffable glee by the actress Julie Linquette.

Improving morale by buying two dresses in the New Look online sale, against the day when I have interviews to wear them to.

Colourful cartoon cover of a 1968 Puffin Post magazine, in which a pink space rocket emits fierce fiery jets of flame from three booster rockets which are powering it.
The rocket is patterned in black flowers and orange pink and yellow zigzags speeds through a black starry sky with a big shiny sliver satellite spinning through space.
The rocket is crewed by three puffins in yellow space suits sitting at porthole windows and three on space walks outside tethered to the rocket by squiggly blue cables.
Above it, another rocket, this one striped red and yellow zooms across bearing the title Puffin Post in white, hand drawn capital letters outlined in black.
The style of the illustration is very much 1960s psychedelia for primary children and it gives a real sense of an unfolding scene in motion

Ladies and gentlepuffins we are floating in space.

Some days I just hate this country and this stupid world generally. It all looked so bright and hopeful when I was young.

I think it’s one of the few things that keeps me tied to my Mac Air. I hate Apple’s proprietary nature but it’s better than fending off constant malware and scams.
