Anyway. I have to call back next week and see if they can take a payment from my card.
Girl. I don't know. I thought it was. And then she got snotty with me that she might not be able to take a payment from the card I use now. Well. You better figure it out or you're not getting the rest of your money, are you?
So when I contacted them to be like HEY. Can I set up a payment plan to pay that off, their response was "well, why isn't it coming out of your payroll?"
I didn't make payments on the loan PERSONALLY because I (naively) assumed that it was coming out of my payroll. Because it was supposed to be. Until they called last week wanting the remainder of the money.
I took out a loan about six months ago to cover some emergencies. I had to close the account I had with them because I got charged so many overdrafts for another bill. A lawyer told me the only thing to do was let the account close because there wasn't any legal way to STOP the company in question.
I sincerely wish that the people working in bill payment centers understood NOT to get belligerent with a patron when they call trying to make a payment.
