Another family favourite was made in session 2: pizza! π
It was lovely to see everyone having fun, working together to make their own dough, and preparing their chosen toppings to create amazing pizzas!
This week in S1, the pupils expertly made chilli con carne and rice, using a range of preparation techniques and cookery processes.
The pupils then analysed the recipe to identify the nutrients in the dish and explained why these are important for teenagers specifically.
A fabulous evening at the Larbert High curriculum fayre!

This week S1 began their nutrients unit, learning about the 5 key nutrients and their functions.
The pupils made fabulous, sausage, broccoli and cheese pasta bakes and analysed the recipe to identify the sources of each nutrient. π§π₯¦
ππ«Fruit Smoothiesπ«π
This morning at breakfast club, we made fruit smoothies. The pupils selected their fillings for their smoothies before using a new piece of equipment to expertly and safely blend their smoothies.

This week N5 practical cookery mastered tri-coloured bread.
The pupils learned about the function of yeast and expertly needed their dough to stretch the gluten. They perfectly pleated their final dough to create these amazing breads.
A brilliant turnout for Social Soup today! It was great for everyone to spend lunch together to celebrate the end of a very busy term.

This week the pupils made incredible reindeer cupcakes and christmas biscuits to get into the christmas spirit πβοΈ
One of the highlights was receiving these lovely Christmas cards from S1&S2 pupils. They showcased their amazing languages skills writing their message in Spanish.
