I have an entire 2nd closet just for silly costumes but also redundancies make me sick to my stomach. we briefly owned two(2) pizza cutters and I lost a lot of sleep over it till I was able to donate the old one.

when I was helping clean out my grandparents house (not hoarders, just lived in same 🏡 for 50* yrs) I found six(6) electric wine bottle opener. I said lort plz don’t ever let me get like this.

we watched a lot of HGTV etc growing up & i can’t remember what show it was but all the time im thinking about this one professional organizer saying “you have 50 bras in this closet but you only have two boobies” and that’s my “does it spark joy”

I’ve finally rehomed all my roach clips from the one time I did an art table in 2023 so naturally there’s a 🪱 in my brain that has come up with a more optimized protocol for making roach clip rings and that 🪱 cannot be silenced when all the 🪱s have their little meeting at the start of Beadz™ time

haven’t skeeted about brooches in a few days. today i made one that looked like a cloud with raindrops. also working on some spaghetti ones. they’re really quite beautiful in their own ugly way. I love mixing 90s friendship bracelet beads with crystals. my 20+ yrs of wire-wrapping is rly paying off

i didn’t do enough to settle down the restless chatter of my mind so I’m hoping some rapid fire skeeting off of oscos on the blooskerdoo will help drain/vent out enough of the chatter to allow me to doze off

i think one very clear lesson of 2024 is necessity of having media infrastructure to reach public. right now legacy media is either passively or actively complicit and social media increasingly owned by allies of administration

U don’t have to be good at sewing or any other art, you just need to be using ur artist brain to be well dressed and true to the self and/or hang with me

ahhh so you want to adorn your body in art but only if it was made by slaves and shipped to your front door in a weird plastic sleeve bag thing. the height of glamour.

the demographic I’m most perturbed by is people who like fashion, specifically the dressing part (not so much runways/brands) but are like eww gross at the thought of a thrift store and have to lie down at the suggestion of threading a needle to alter something.

i guess u don’t actually have to be “crafty” 2 be an appreciator of the arts. lotta that can be done to the couch.

i can really think myself into a storm wondering what people who aren’t living a DIY/resourceful/crafty lifestyle think about all day. is it just like “oh I need to buy toothpaste. [jots it down] back to my meaningless existence. I certainly have never had a feeling I needed to understand better”

so we’ve basically rearranged the whole art room but the problem with that is that it’s still the room where I do art so it still looks pretty bad. but the piles are WAY more optimized.
