Romance is not dead. ๐Ÿ˜†

Well, that's the other massive problem - that AI is being trained using the hard work of real authors.

Exactly. The joy, the frustration, the tearing your hair out moments. It's all part of the writing process. That's why we got into this, right? Outsource any aspect and you cannot call yourself a writer.

11.02.2026 15:21 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

More to the point, you will never *become* an author. You will never learn or grow or improve because you are missing out on vital parts of the writing journey. That's not progress. That's just laziness.

11.02.2026 14:09 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 13    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

For what it's worth - I believe that if you use AI to brainstorm ideas for your book, plan chapters, help with structure, edit, create dialogue, make story suggestions or ANY part of the creative writing process you are a hack and a fraud. You are not an author.

Audible cover for THE CHALK MAN by C. J. Tudor. A red background with white chalk lines swiping across its surface. Two shadowed figures seem to be falling through the redness.

Finished reading THE CHALK MAN, by @cjtudor.bsky.social a couple weeks ago, and what a ride it was! Loved the deep, constant disquiet on every page. Its dueling timelines were each as gripping as the other.

Definitely recommend for mystery/thriller fans- I flew through this one!

First book read of 2026. I knew it would be good, but HOLY COW!! @cjtudor.bsky.social outdid herself here. This was amazing.

Yeah, from everything I have googled it's a really common issue. I'm going to take them out for a half next week and see how they go over a longer distance!

Argh!! I like the trainers but the noise is so damn irritating. Having said that that, they're not daily trainers - they're for races or fast distance. xx

Took my Xmas pressies - Nike Alphafly 3 - out for a run this morning. Pro's - bouncy, fast on the flat, effortless 8 miles. Cons - the NOISE. Oh my God, the right shoe squeaks like a demented mouse. Hoping it reduces as they wear in or it's gonna drive me nuts! ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿ˜†

I never even get to the gingerly skating part. I wish I'd learnt as a kid. Now I'm just too scared of falling and breaking something!

Ice skating and hot chocolate with my beautiful girl (she skated. I inched round clinging to the side)! ๐Ÿ˜‚
