Been off to other places for a while. Checking out your posts to see what you've been doing. Loved not using computer for past weeks, love the genuine human animal life unmediated by the tech interface and all its beseeching demands. The world is more vibrant, real and liberating without it.

Protecting salmon farming at the expense of the environment – another step backwards for Australia’s nature laws After shelving plans to reform Australia’s nature laws, the prime minister wants to walk back existing protections with new legislation introduced this week.

A bill was introduced to the Australian parliament this week that intends to let the government off the hook for approving certain activities that harm the environment. And this is their idea of environmental law reform?

Definitely NOT multispecies justice.

And the clean water and air.
Then the stories fade. And with it, our sense of meaning, our connections.

When you slow down for a crossing turtle, you offer justice to the ancient rhythms of the land.

When you choose plant-based, you offer justice to those whose lives would have ended for your plate.

It starts small—but matters big.

We have the power to shape different conditions. To shift patterns. To stop pretending we are separate from the story of the earth and all who share it.

It’s not easy. It’s not convenient.
But it’s possible.
And it matters.

In a world where convenience is king, living intentionally is often seen as inconvenient. But living with thought for others is the truest expression of care—for the earth, for animals, for a future where all can thrive.

The world isn’t made up of separate parts. It’s a living web of relationships—species, ecosystems, people—all shaping one another. When we start to understand those connections, we can act more wisely, more gently.

The problems we face aren’t just "out there," beyond our control. They often arise from the ways we interact with the world. From the systems we participate in, the choices we make, the things we normalize without thinking.

But it also means we can change it by being more aware - #Daretocare.
