I spent too many years bottling up or suppressing my emotions, the result being burnout, so now I find healthy ways to let it out. It's been a few years since I've had a meltdown of any sort too! Huge victory for me!

I'm alright! I'm a multi-faceted human who feels a huge range of emotions haha The moment I finished this sketch, I realized I captured one emotion perfectly, and I felt much better.

I felt like free #drawing tonight. Started with a mouth and just ran with it. When I could see an image forming, I inked it. Sometimes it's good to turn hard emotions into something to get it out.

I have done a bit of color work in the past but I found it hasn't gained as much attention, while also taking longer to finish my daily drawings. Sometimes I feel like a Pokemon won't look right unless I color it!

Because I usually catch my typos! LOL
I try to be as clear as possible with my writing since there isn't an edit feature.

I learned about it during an independent art study I did in high school, and figured it would be a fun way to build up my hand endurance. I've seen a lot of artists doing in over the years and always liked how it looked. I would like to do illustrations in this style for my book too.

Here is an example of how I draw my lines. I don't quickly flick each line, instead I deliberately draw each one, watching the spacing between them, keeping them as straight as I can, while keeping the tip pressure consistent. I hold the pen so firmly that my hand gets tired, so I take breaks!

So far I'm loving it, even the dark parts.

This is the first I've heard of it! It's a cool concept. I write as much as I can every few days as long as my health keeps up, so I wouldn't be able to stick to a certain amount per day. I would fail! haha

I'm loving it so far. It was gifted to me from a friend who thought I'd love it since the book I'm writing has similar themes.
