I just watched the first 4 episodes of Wonder Man and I loved it. This is a superhero story. It's what the bronze age was trying to do. Before the 90s become the splash fights. @keithb10.bsky.social brought up Astro City which is a good reference. The spaces between the splash pages.

The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.

Hundreds marched through San Francisco Saturday evening in solidarity with Minneapolis after federal agents shot and killed 37-year-old nurse Alex Pretti. It was at least the third shooting involving federal agents in the city in three weeks.

Mac Randolph RIP Alex Pretti, he was my Dads ICU nurse, he read my dad's final salut at the VA after he passed away. Never wanted to share this video but his speech is very on point. Also my Fathers final words to me was continue to fight the good fight. He would be honored in Alex' sacrifice, and ashamed of this current administration. In my Dads words I encourage you all to continue to "fight the good fight"

I've been carrying my passport card with me ( I have both a book and a card). Today I went on a SF City Guides tour of Chinatown which explored the horrible racism they lived under. One of the things was that people had to carry their papers. I commented nothing has changed.

A Black man named Keith Porter was shot and killed by an ICE officer on New Year’s Eve.

Marimar Martinez was shot five times by an ICE officer in Chicago who went on to brag about leaving seven holes in her body.

This is not new but it is expanding.
