I love all the classic Vincent Price movies.

The Raven is a comedy despite starting with the Edgar Allan Poe poem with a darker tone.

I saw him speak in 2016. He's likable and intelligent. He's aged so well.

15 years married I am getting nostalgic about that early phase of possibilities.

I have a few sinkhole ideas myself. I've found them fascinating for a long time.

I cheated and used my wedding to inform many of the beats. Some things I had to research because it was different tradition.

I have a radically different wedding planned in book 3 ... a shotgun wedding, literally. 😂

Wedding scenes can be pretty meaningful, especially when earned or a fresh take.

My check-ins for the next week will mostly be me digesting some ongoing detailed feedback. Some changes propagate through the book. Making parallel updates in Scriviner and the beta reader editable copy.

Another reader finished the book and gave me an overview. Readers love the aliens I added.

After 4 days, I broke through depression to anger. It restored my energy and mental clarity. Depression was debilitating.

I get annoyed by the same thing. I complicate things a lot more in my romances for that reason. My first book does a friends to lovers but there's a lot of subtext and different timelines where the implications of their relationship can end the world.

The worst is when you are shifting between late night and early morning and you're in a weird limbo and mental clarity is hard to find.

From what I've seen the criticism seems to highlight my favorite lines in a chapter as the ones they don't like. Some good points and I'm thankful to get amy feedback. It's probably not the kind of feedback that I can handle well right now. It would be fine if I wasn't already beaten down.

I started with screenplays. I love present tense, but some stick their nose up at it. I've thought about writing a past tense edition and give people a choice.

It did wreck me when I had to make an action scene past tense because a plot reorder made it a flashback. So it might be a crazy idea.
