My reference point was Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical (mainly because of all the period jargon and the fact that both were adapted from stage productions).

I like, but don't love, #PsychoBeachParty. It has so many elements that work (namely a very game cast), but there's a distinct lack of energy in the direction that really hurts the pacing. It was fun to revisit and have this discussion, though!

Since it's canon that Lt. Frank Drebin Jr. is a big fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, it would be great to have Sarah Michelle Gellar herself cameo in the sequel (assuming we get one). #TheNakedGun

It was a bit surreal to revisit #Oldboy, a film I haven't seen since I was prepping for Spike Lee's remake 10+ years ago. Unsurprisingly: it holds up!

And funnily enough: I would argue that CLERKS 3 handles the death the best out of these 3 examples (in that it really, really means something to the entire plot).

But yeah, CLERKS 2 is my preferred ending.

I just don't get it. There's so much comedy (and heart!) to be mined from these characters but the go-to seems to be to kill them off just to give the lead some form of conflict. Is that the best we can come up with???

***Spoilers*** for #Zoolander2, #ClerksIII and #HappyGilmore2, but I’m really, *really* over the apparent trend of funnymen killing off their hot wives in their legacy sequels. These characters deserved better!
