The ridiculous ouroborous of spending is shocking, but I'm stuck on fake intelligence ("AI") having so much money shovelled at it while actual, real, WORKING AND TESTED intelligence (humans) are devalued. What's the end goal here? Is there one? There isn't one, is there.

So at its heart this is just a complex scheme to get some grubby hands on private capital? Masquerading as a massive tech advancement? While contributing to the destruction of the environment and potentially the American (global?) economy? Or is something else sinister going on as well?
