I feel like stuff like this is too often overlooked in discussions around technology-based mitigations of climate change. If we use tech innovations to make it easy and convenient for people to use the β€œgreener” alternative that already exists, they’ll use it.

Living in the Future benefit: the combination of Google Maps public transit directions and phone-tap onboard payment makes it SO EASY to take public trams/buses/metros when traveling now. It’s fantastic not to have to resort to taxis just for lack of easy access to the local transit ticketing system

β€œCopyright growing pains” is one hell of a euphemism for the biggest IP theft in history

I bang on about this a lot: I think the combination of a global pandemic, underregulated internet/SM, collapse/corruption of trustworthy media, plus now unregulated genAI, is a wildly toxic environment for radicalisation & mental health. We see the results of that in our politics & lives every day

In video games, you will often find a fully roasted chicken abandoned on the ground, and eating it extremely quickly makes you feel better. What's less known is that this is also true in real life

I may have to give up being a strong, independent woman. I'm fucking exhausted.

I thought the "You're doing it wrong" genre of articles had peaked years ago, but "You're breathing wrong" has to set some kind of new high-water mark. www.cnn.com/2025/10/09/h...

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

I know this is boring, but I bought myself linen summer pyjamas, and they are honestly life-changing. I have never worn such comfortable pyjamas, and pyjamas are Very Important.

Growing vegetables is soooo satisfying.

I'm having one of those days: adulting and the hustle feel unrelenting. So I'm rowdsourcing inspiration.

Tell me what you do to inject a little more joy, adventure or whimsy into your life. I'm not talking expensive overseas holidays – what are the small, everyday rituals that add some sparkle?
