I do these focus groups and user testing onlibe and they often give me projects and interviews about my medical conditions. In a way, my health problems make me $ lol. Since they have also cost me a lot I want them to make me a full salary

I mean, I don't trust the water, and we are going to have our pipes professionally flushed after the 6-month mark when it's supposedly safe.

After being assured for years that we had no lead, the whole thing has been such a pain. In the middle of two surgeries. All of December is a blur

DC Water sent us two large jugs for lead testing yesterday, and no letter with no explanation. They replaced our lead pipe almost 3 months ago, and we've been brushing our teeth with bottled water and drinking bottled water too.

I'm not sure why they want us to test again. The tests are different.

They may even help her relocate.

The Victim Assistance Fund here in DC pays for a lot, including counseling, medical etc so I've told her she needs to go tell them she's afraid of this person, and afraid for her daughter, too, so she can keep him away

It's awful when this happens to anyone, anywhere. The justice we want to see is on Law and Order, but if the kid doesn't talk, the justice isn't anywhere. The mom says the police already are downplaying it. I've urged her mama to get a restraining order ASAP so that she can keep her relative away.

I'm just so sad for this family. CSA happens more than we'll admit; it happened to me as a kid, and I want to say it will be OK. But it will probably not be OK, it takes a lot of help to be ok when you understand it.

(The hospital did a rape kit, took tissue samples, etc and tested for semen, then the next day they came back for STD testing, and today she has to go back to speak to a therapist and the police again)

They've been at the hospital for 2 days and have to go back again. It's really fucked up. I have been giving her lunch money. Her daughter is really too young to understand what's going on, her mom sends me these photos of her beaming and playing. But the kid is scared of the cops and won't talk.

A woman I help is in a terrible crisis where a family member committed SA against her kid. The woman's boyfriend walked in on it. The girl is 6 and it's probably been happening a while bc she denied it's happening at all, and it was just "pretend" 😢

I was happy to help Fulla get a whole fridge of groceries yesterday, as well as diapers and bus fare to get more stuff if she needs it. I'm thinking of surprising her soon with a Smart Trip when I get my tax refund and loading it with $30 or so

I'm sorry your loved one has had such a hard life, and you, yourself, too. That sounds so scary and hard to deal with.

PTSD is so real and even though I have it, it is nowhere near as debilitating as a war veteran or survivor

An ex's relative was in the Vietnam War and lived with an aunt, sleeping on the ground, locking his door at night so he wouldn't hurt anyone. If you poked him in his sleep to wake him, he'd easily attack you. He never got comfortable in a bed again. He drank himself to death in NY right after 9/11
