The #sun is shining, the #trees are still mostly lush and green. It could almost be summer. But there is something about the feel and smell of the air & the energy of those who live here, which whispers of soaking up the #autumnal sun and readying for winter. πβπ«ππΏπ

'You can protest but only according to our rules. The rules are: you're not allowed to use any of the tactics that make protest effective.'
Love this, what a beautiful encounter.... π

When did the middle ground start to feel like an unsafe place to be? When did it start to feel like no man's land?

Their needs are the same as ours.
Their stories matter too.
Itβs time to stand in no mans land and remember it is common ground.

While saying they want to "preserve nature" the Conservative Party have just pledged to scrap the Climate Change Act.
This makes no sense.
How do more floods, more droughts, and rising temperatures "preserve" nature?
That's what scrapping the Act will lead to.
"I like to envision the whole world as a jigsaw puzzle. If you look at the whole picture, it is overwhelming and terrifying, but if you work on your little part of the jigsaw and know that people all over the world are working on their little bits, that's what will give you hope."

Makes me feel it is time for more of us to step up. Not to replace them, they are irreplaceable, but to bring who we are to the world with the same unshakable faith. ππΏ

Healing isnβt a solo journey.
It happens in relationshipβin shared breath, in listening, in remembering we belong.
If youβre feeling the weight of the world, youβre not alone. Letβs walk together.

Under my favourite #Beech #trees. The #colours are starting to turn & the first #leaves are gently falling. A branch has been ripped down in the recent gales.
I notice that sometimes things leave us at as life turns & sometimes storms rip part of us away, when we are not expecting it.

There was mist in the valley today, but the sun soon burnt it off. Leaving the spider webs bejeweled & standing out in the morning light.
I always think there is something magical about their webs, so delicate & yet so strong & careful designed.

we are not humans standing on the Earth, choosing how to make use of this pleasant place we call home. We are part of this living, breathing, pulsating planet, spinning through a universe so vast itβs unimaginable.

Iβve spent a lot of time in the woods this summer. Not just walking but listening. Grieving. Trying to remember what it means to belong to something bigger than myself.
