What happened at the BAFTAs was wrong - it should never have happened. There is no excuse for racism. None.
I grew up with Tourette's. It was hell. I am going to offer a few thoughts, based on my own experience.
This is my experience, and may not reflect that of all.
One of the worst things about Tourette's was the world constantly telling you to stop, to "just take a breath," when you had no control over your tics.
But here is what you did have: an understanding of what your tics are. 1/3

Yes, they change over time. Over days, weeks and months. Not seconds.
For prolonged periods, you know what your tics mainly consist of - vocal, motor, or otherwise. It is unlikely that a specific racial slur first presented as a vocal tic at this specific moment. If this was a tic, then this slur likely happened before.
People with disabilities should absolutely be included in all aspects of life. But disability cannot be used to justify blatant harm towards others. 2/3

Which raises the real question: If this was a known tic and a known risk - what was the plan?
Who was involved in making one? There were options.
Events of this scale command extraordinary resources. This was avoidable.
The only person who truly knows of any intent behind this action is John himself. Given the harm caused, clarity is owed. As is an apology. From all involved in the planning (or lack thereof that resulted in this unjustifiable outcome.

You may need something looser (around the waist, I mean)
Perhaps it comes in a playsuit

In all seriousness, sending you calming thoughts, a zen outlook and so much support and love going into this (and coming out the other side, elephant ears and all)

The Queen reportedly contributed Β£7 million (approx. $9M) to the estimated Β£12 million (approx. $16M) total, with contributions from Prince Philip’s estate and King Charles.

Reports indicate that the late Queen Elizabeth II, along with other senior royals, helped fund a multi-million pound settlement for Prince Andrew to pay his accuser, Virginia Giuffre, in 2022.

So at the lowest estimate
of trees per sq km (81,700 -232,600) this equates to over 2 billion trees and that doesn’t account for all the wildlife that inhabit these forests.

Jarrah trees are slow-growing, taking 250 to 400 years to reach a 70cm diameter.

Absolute scum.

I keep hearing about this LGBT agenda

I have an agenda

First, a dog walk, then a coffee then work
Tonight I’ll have dinner with my husband then watch TV together, all while wearing a fully coordinated ensemble ensuring I’m always aware of my surroundings to stay safe.

That is my LGBT agenda

We've always known that the IPA freedoms harder than anyone else could freedom, but now they are in the running to prove that they really do freedom more than anyone else. The free-marketeers at the Institute of Public Affairs are in the running for a $100,000 grant because their marketing strategy in opposition to the carbon tax was just that good.
The IPA has been nominated as a finalist for the Templeton Freedom Award for its "20 Years" of work on the tax, the group;s nomination statement says: "The IPA was the loudest consistent voice against the carbon tax in a time when there were very few dissenting voices in Australia." The Atlas Network website praises the IPA's campaign, writing:

Freedom Boy Tim Wilson even gets a special mention for attending climate conferences all over the world (looks like he was a jet-setter before becoming Human Rights Commissioner):
66 "Wilson attended every international climate conference between 2009 and 2013, including conferences in Durban, Doha, Copenhagen, and Warsaw, and was able to effectively communicate to the Australian public the lack of consensus over pricing carbon that existed among experts." 99
The IPA will find out the results on November 12.

We now have as Shadow Treasurer someone who was not only an Atlas Network partner actor, and also on the Mont Pelerin Society, but someone who was shortlisted for the top 🌎 Atlas Network prize for betraying Australia for fossil fuel. Australians are the world’s biggest losers when it comes to gambling. It’s a predatory system - the industry’s business model depends on people losing.

What makes it even more disturbing is the ongoing acceptance of donations, gifts & perks from gambling companies by some MPs & Senators.

I saw a little boy eagerly chatting at his father, walking along, holding his hand then around the corner came a little girl in a blue sequin princess dress with pink glitter crocs.

Growing up destroys lives.

Hold more hands, chat freely and wear the sequins and glitter.

Life is too short.

Darren's hunted zebras and bears overseas. Now a 'trophy' ban is in Australia's sights Supporters say trophy hunting is misunderstood. But critics call it cruelty dressed up as conservation.

Much like the UK, both the major parties are failing to represent the people. There’s a groundswell for Greens in Britain and with some of the incredible independents we have in Australia I hope to see a very different (as in not owned by big corporations) power shift in future elections.
