Ideally since AI was built on our backs, we should get some cool new toys out of the deal to help us complete with the slop machines.

My dream would be to integrate generative AI into art programs, not really in its current form but to create intelligent brushes. Imagine you carefully construct a new hair brush and every time you start a new stroke, AI touches up the connection to already painted hair, or links chains, or etc etc

claiming generated art as your own and selling or posting it publicly. That's dishonest and hurts us all.

For me, a tech guy who has also been drawing for more than 20 years, it's faster and easier to create what I want with my drawing tablet then to fuck around with dice rolls which is why I only use it occasionally for visualizing my ideas, helping me with my aphantasia. I'm not defending...

Yes I have. It's true that it's a lot easier to get something that looks finished quickly, but getting something specific and on-model for, say, a OC is pretty difficult and requires knowledge of inpainting, negative and positive prompts, models and loras, and there's more technical overhead too.
