自称友人たちの多くは、私が遊びに誘っても返事すらしてくれません。本当に信頼できるのは三つ、よん人くらいです。でも彼らもいつも忙しい。他の人たちは私を無視します。私が以前のような地位にいないから、まるで存在しないかのように振る舞うのです。みんな偽物だ。全員がそうだ。

今は友達と過ごす気力も気分もありません。落ち込んでいるかと思えば、彼らの恵まれた境遇に嫉妬してしまいます。彼らは高給の仕事を維持できたのに、私は失ってしまいました。今はパートタイムで働いていますが、言われた通りにやっているのに叱られるばかりです。

みんなは私に、物事の良い面を見て、今持っているものに感謝するように言う。私もいつもそうしようとしている。でも、ほぼ毎週のように何かが起こる。しかも一つだけでなく、いくつも。しかも、私にはどうすることもできないことばかり。状況はどんどん悪くなる一方だ。

私は常にストレスと抑うつ状態にあります。節約しようとどんなに努力しても、結局は緊急事態や生活費のためにすべて消えてしまいます。小売業で働いていますが、貯金を切り崩さずに生活費や請求書を支払えるだけの十分な勤務時間を得ることができません。いつも絶望的な気持ちです。
