So as someone who has been intentionally plugged into the mayor's race for the past 8-9 months and just sat through a 12-hour convention as an alternate...if you're saying Fateh has a very specific rent control plan that I'm unaware of, I guess I'm skeptical the average voter will know that?

I guess I'm just not sure why Fateh's similarly broad language would be seen as more of a mandate for a specific policy than the '21 ballot measure?

Like are his negatives going to reach 2021 City Council levels, when voters took away lots of power but still authorized them to pursue rent control?

Will be interesting to watch! In 2021, rent control got 20k more votes than Nezhad/Knuth had 1st place votes.

But we’ll obviously have a lot more targeted fear-mongering around it this time without the policing ballot measures in the way.

Omar has been an incredible representative. There’s pretty much no one who could run who would make me not vote for her, based on the work she’s done for me and my community.

The DFL endorsement never seemed as significant as when the people arguing for its meaninglessness are ready to fight fight fight to make sure they reverse the result.

In 2017 Frey had an entire downtown safety plan and talked often of police getting out of patrol cars and walking the beat. Some phony-ass Tommy Carcetti shit, riding a wave of “police community relations” after the MPD inexplicably murdered Australian yoga teacher in leafy Linden Hills.

Mayor Frey said in 2017 he would incentivize police to live in the city.

He later said he would work to divide supervisors- sergeants and lieutenants - out of the federation bargaining unit.

For a time was obsessed with reforming police arbitration laws.

But he hasn’t done shit.

I hate this, the ROI is basically zero, they're donors' number one complaint, what we need is some heroic campaign aides to start giving out the personal phone numbers of the text spam consultants publicly so we can complain to them personally every time we get a text.

MN Reformer has been pretty steadfast in its anti-Fateh stance for a couple years now.
