We are heartbroken to lose our service dog, Doc, who died peacefully on Tuesday after a battle with cancer. He served Toronto proudly alongside his handler, Sgt. Andrew Haynes. We send our condolences to Sgt. Haynes, our K9 Unit and all who loved him.

We have arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with a sexual assault in High Park on June 4, 2025. An image of the accused has been released.

Last week, we seized 11 crime guns, laid 116 charges, and arrested 6 adults and 3 youths. All three youths were out on release orders, and one adult was out on bail.

Last week, we seized 5 crime guns, laid 32 charges and arrested 6 adult suspects. 2 of the 6 arrested were out on bail.

Hate crime has no place in our city – and today, on the Day to Counter Hate Speech, Toronto Police were at Wellesley Station to emphasize that hatred in any form will not be tolerated. If you are a victim or witness of hate speech, please report it to Toronto Police.

Twenty people have been arrested and over 100 charges laid in Project Yankee, a tow truck Joint Forces investigation. Project Yankee was a joint effort with Durham Regional Police Service, York Regional Police, and Ontario Provincial Police.

Our officers continue their work to get guns out of the hands of criminals. Last week, we seized 9 crime guns, laid 100 charges and arrested 11 adults–three were out on release orders related to previous charges. We're committed to targeting illegal firearms and holding offenders accountable.

Every shooting creates a lot of pain and anxiety in our communities. Stopping gun violence remains a top priority. This is a whole-of-Service effort, and prevention and collaboration continue to be essential.

June is Bike Month! We are actively promoting bike safety and ensuring young bikers have properly fitting helmets. Last week we were in North York with our community partners to give new bikes and safety equipment to 60 underserved youth. Together we can keep bikers safe on city streets and trails.

14 Division officers and friends raised $15,000 in this year’s #bikeforbrainhealth, bringing their 3-year total to nearly $60,000 for Baycrest Foundation’s research into cognition, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, stroke and aging brain health.
