Volgende week is ook weer een van mijn doctoraatsstudenten on shift.

We hebben dus al een week of drie een 24/7 shift crew

We doen altijd een campagne om zoveel mogelijk muonen vanuit kosmische stralen te registreren vóór de eigenlijke jaarlijkse opstart. We proberen er altijd >300 miljoen met magneetveld aan te registreren, om de uitlijning van de detectoren weer op punt te kunnen stellen voor de echte botsingen komen.

It's data taken up to 2018, so we've had some time to analyze it. Also, we wouldn't expect new physics: it's a large fit over many analyses done before. The largest deviation is 1.9 sigma from this paper:
