we're only 5 episodes into Star Detective Precure and i'm already finding myself wanting ice cream every time i watch it 😭 which is only once a week but wtf. the power of Luluka Moria, even in episodes where she doesn't even eat ice cream

i did it, took longer than i expected but i finished editing the chapters and posted them 🥹 now i'm gonna set writing aside for the spring and return to drawing, i'm so excited but also nervous since i haven't drawn in forever. i'm just gonna start by working in my sketchbook to get used to it again

and then i can relax and watch precure and do other stuff tonight without worry yaaaay~

proud of myself for finishing everything else i had to do today before like 5 PM so i can dedicate several hours to editing the drafts of the first two chapters of my next golden trio fic ✌️ would really love to post them today if i can. i already did one pass through but i need to add some things

i'd like to see the esupuri version of the show, too, but the tickets are pretty expensive for a streaming only event, even with the exchange rate working in my favor, so i gotta pick one and of course it must be the one where my enstars otp shows up

oh thank goodness they finally released info about tickets for streaming the enstars 10th anniversary dream live, the alkaloid and crazy:b show is in two weeks so i was getting worried 😭 still not available for purchase but at least i know they're coming soon

i've actually been putting build videos on my tv recently when i want to have something on to just chill out to, so i definitely have some interest! but i'm also at a point where i only want to play things on my switch and i dunno how the switch version is. i might look into it

i honestly don't know if it's weird or not 😂 i'm just like, listen i was already a goddamn adult when minecraft started existing!!! i was too busy avoiding my college homework as long as possible and being obsessed with precure!!!

i can mess around with different blocks AND be a silly Ditto AND make friends with a Steelix in a cave??? that sounds like my kind of minecraft-ish experience

i have to confess: i have not spent a single second playing minecraft. i was already in college when it first came out and just never got into it after that. tho i have been somewhat interested recently

but then i see how pokopia looks and i'm like...... this might be close enough actually lmao

yeah i'm really glad i took the time to watch the gala skate, i loved that. i was not prepared for giant panda costume

it didn't improve my opinion of the season and i still fully intend to never revisit it (except for maybe this movie!), but it did get my remaining frustration to settle down a bit. it got me in the same way Wonderful Precure did, so prepare to cry

ok yup, the Kimi to Idol Precure movie was extremely good. i absolutely recommend this even to haters of the season. i'm one of them and i loved it. it contains a whole lot of what i think the season should have done. i'm honestly relieved that *something* good came out of this iteration of Precure

got a lot of crochet done while watching, too. made a whole set of mini xmas stockings for my mom, most of a headband thing that i'll show after i complete it (still debating how i want to finish it), and the base of a tissue box holder that i now need to decorate

i've really enjoyed watching figure skating. i'm even gonna watch the exhibition gala tomorrow, i don't think i've ever watched one before

honestly, my reason for making these is a bit sad. i made them to go under the urns for two of our dogs, Kona and Radar. i just felt they needed them. i'm happy i was able to do something for them even though they're gone, however small

alright, it's done. here's my full review of Kimi to Idol Precure

this is a long post, so i'll sum it up:
this season was an almost complete failure to me. boring, confusing, half-baked, and uninspiring. i don't recommend it to anyone for any reason

if you can get through some typical horny anime shit, there's some really good stuff there! and the protagonist guy isn't even all that overtly horny himself, so it hasn't done anything to give me the creeps. each new girlfriend is interesting and the relationships between the girls are so sweet

also gayer than i expected. the first two girlfriends are definitely also into each other, they just might not realize it yet. at the very least, lots of really nice friendships between the girls

HAHA well it does have some standard horny anime stuff happening, but if you can tolerate that, i do recommend it! it's a thing in a lot of the episodes but not all of them. it also still feels weirdly respectful because the main dude is very respectful and not monstrously horny himself?
