βOUR city isnβt [insert name of a much more livable & successful city here].β
Trust me, we know that. Itβs abundantly obvious that youβre not that city.
That city made, and continues to make, much better choices with fewer excuses.
The real question is, do you want YOUR city to be better or not?

Having a car share nearby.
Cargo bike has eliminated 60% of personal trips. But there is still hockey, camping, trips out of town and bigger shopping trips.
Unfortunately our area is not dense enough to support a car share, or so I'm told.

Langford defers pool decision until a day before Westhills offer expires
Councillors said this week they needed more time for public feedback as they consider the $35-million cost.
The decision around the purchase of the Langford Aquatic Centre has been a challenging one. Long term financial considerations lean towards purchase with a potential $121 million saved over 42 yrs however tax increases will have impacts to consider.

Lots of questions around why we are considering a 5 year over a 25 year loan.
I attempt to provide some context here in this 2 part video

First post on BlueSky! Starting a video series about the Langford Aquatics Centre. Should the City buy it or keep leasing? Itβs about stable, long-term recreation, not just YMCA operations. Iβll explain why this matters and whatβs at stakeβstay tuned or follow!
