My top Super Bowl memory is when Musk tweeted βGo Eaglesβ in 2023 from the game and then deleted it after a similar tweet from Biden got more engagement. Then he flew to Twitter HQ and demanded his workers find out why his posts were doing poorly, starting a multi-day fact finding mission.

I love that these complete morons assumed we were sending palettes of cash to countries and not sending things like rice and wheat while paying American farmers for those goods

This why you donβt trust your countryβs economic policies to someone who bankrupted 5 casinos.
Incredibly moving Justin Trudeau remarks:
"We have fought and died alongside you....During your darkest hours...we were always there. Standing with you, grieving with you, the American people....Canadians are a little perplexed as to why our closest friends and neighbors are choosing to target us."
I'm reading Character Limit now, and the parallels I'm drawing between it and the current hellscape are frightening.

That leaves only the courts.

26.01.2025 17:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Just a heads up for peeps, if you bought a Neil Gaiman audiobook from Audible, they are allowing refunds for them with no questions asked and no matter how long ago you bought them. I donβt even have an active subscription and they gave me credits back for two titles purchased in 2020.

Finland is teaching children in school how to recognize fake news and propaganda as part of critical thinking and civic responsibility. Some of this will seem very familiar.

The Book Haters' Book Club was mostly entertaining, if a bit formulaic.
What Time the Sexton's Spade Doth Rust was more of the same in a series I think I'm done with.
The Book Swap was a warm hug of a novel that I gobbled up.
This Must Be the Place was sprawling and layered, about a complicated family.
Baggage was dishy and introspective at the same time; perfectly narrated on audio by Cumming himself.
