A good idea! There are a lof of children who would benefit, and parents who would be grateful! Why not do 2 or 3 videos and see how much interest there is?

It's why we all speak our additional languages better after a glass of wine or two. when we're less sensitive to danger.
And you're doing the right thing. The key is to keep doing until Lizard brain learns that *no-one dies*!
It's probably your Lizard Brain. The oldest part of our brains have an important function - to keep us safe. But, Lizard Brain doesn't know the difference between a missed mutation and a Mountain Lion. So it freezes you, to avoid the danger. Useful in the jungle. Not so good in the coffee morning!

6 and repeat...
The problem is, most people (because most courses...) do 1, 3, 5, 7 and wonder why they can't speak Welsh after 10 weeks / months / years.
How to learn Welsh:
1. Learn some words - just a handful is fine
2 Use those words every day, over and over again, until fitting them together feels natural. Talking to yourself is fine!
3 Learn some more words - another handful is fine!
4 Use those words every day
5. Learn some more words
Worse. you will find that things you thought you knew are suddenly mysterious, and things that were easy are suddenly impossible.
THIS IS NOT FAILURE. This is just a new phase of learning.
One more step along the way.
It too shall pass!
The first time you speak Welsh in real life, you will fall over. This feels painful, and for too many people, it’s the last time they speak Welsh as well.
There are so many things that will trip you up.
And I realised that their Welsh was rough as ten bears. But I hadn't noticed because they just used it, mistakes and all, using English to fill in the gaps.
Moral of the tale: don't sweat the small stuff. Just be bilingual ...
I should really add - if you enjoy speaking simple Welsh, then it won't be years before you speak well.
But because of moving goal-post syndrome, you mwy continue to change the definition of speaking well to be just beyond your current level.
Be warned!
And that is the key: Your no.1 goal should be to enjoy using whatever Welsh you have. That way, you are already a Welsh-speaker. The rest is just experience.

Jen says on Bluesky that the first conversation is hardest, so be kind to yourself, take the pressure off: Don’t try to have a conversation. Just use some Welsh in every conversation, and see how far that takes you!

If you just pop a Welsh word or phrase into your English conversation, you won’t get drowned in Welsh by someone who thinks you’ll understand.
OK, so what if it’s too late for that? Do you already have years of learning, but no confidence?
Really - if you only have one word, why not use it? You *can’t* have a conversation, so there’s no pressure. You *can’t* pretend to be ‘fluent’ with only one word.

When you've used your little bit of Welsh once, use it again. And keep using it and adding to it.
Remember, if you are speaking Welsh, that makes you a Welsh-speaker. (Duh! It's exactly what the label says!)
If you've decided that 2026 is the year when you will become a Welsh speaker, then this is for you:
Don't wait to be confident before you speak.
Speak first, before you know enough Welsh to be confident. That way, there's no pressure to perform, no trying to be perfect.
