I figure Slay the Spire style maps could just be condensed down to a few choices that give information about the encounter and what kind of vendor/event you have after. He's my solution.

Me realizing my favorite RPGs are just RPGs where you make decisions that affect the outcome.

BG3 and Cyberpunk 2077 have multiple endings depending on choices you make.
