In 2003, select retailers in the US offered a special version of Mario Kart: Double Dash as a preorder bonus. This version inclused a bonus disc containing playable demos of various GameCube games, trailers, and most curiously, completely unique content that could be transferred to Fire Emblem on the GBA (later known as Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade). Items granted: Dragon axe, Silver card, Wind sword, Energy ring, Emblem seal, Dragonshield, Emblem blade, Body ring, Emblem axe, Thor's Ire, Angelic robe, Emblem lance, Secret book, Emblem bow, Goddess icon. Music granted: #99: "Legend of the Dragon God" #100: "Royal Palace of Silezha" In the disc's main menu, the Fire Emblem GBA: Bonus Items option would prompt the player to connect a GBA with a copy of the game to the GameCube using a link cable. This would cause Saint Elimine to appear with the above message, and transfer a package of 15 items and two songs to the game.
