I am not used to acknowledging or trusting myself when my body says for no clear reason why I don’t feel safe or comfortable around this man.

My peers are incredible on paper and when I interviewed with them I interviewed fearlessly and with caution to the wind. I was doing this for shits and giggles but the truth is the joke is on me

It’s only four days into my new job that I negotiated and got without a referral and all I can think about is how much I want to do well and not let people down least of all myself and the expectations of me. In my head I am trying to convince myself that IIII belong on the pedestal

I’m just glad that I’ve quit Instagram and can go back to doom scrolling on parts of the internet that perpetuate joy and curiosity. I’m not in a place to fight anymore. Give me joy. Let me fill and spread joy in spite of is awful world

And oh also people don’t want to share something they love or find funny they are monetizing and the algorithms love to prioritize rage bait because it turns out all humans love horror movies.

We’ve always been doom scrolling. Since the dawn of the internet. When it was clicking through links and geocity pages to find fanfiction and sift through screencaps of your favorite x file episode, or to DL fan videos via file share. The only difference now is there is a ton of garbage and lies.

It’s embarrassing how apt this album continues to be but maybe humanity is just continuously embarrassing
