Congrats on nearing release! Played the demo a few years back and it's been on my mind ever since. Definitely picking it up on day one!

It's really great! So smart how any time you upgrade, you're drastically altering 1/6 of your deck, so every choice feels super impactful. Also, the character designs are hilarious

Like, I'd be fascinated to hear about what happened. Assuming devolver assesses the financial standings of their partner studios, you'd think they set aside enough money to fund the rest of development, right? So either things got wildly over scoped, or devolver only signed HM for marketing /promo?

Wait heart machine's next project is being published by devolver? And they're laying off their staff weeks before release? I feel like a huge publisher with very new and shiny Ball x Pit money should be expected to ensure teams they work with remain intact, at least until launch, no?
