If you come across an answer, I'd be interested as well. Funnily enough, when I started learning Unity not too long ago I started with UI Toolkit, cause "new is always better" as Barney Stinson put it. However, I've moved to the old school UI framework since.

Took work back up on my longer term project: You take control of a species of trees, evolving traits and adapting to changing climates. Trees are procedurally generated according to your choices. Added all four biomes and tile heights for a 2.5D feel.
